Pricing questions
No. The monthly fee is the only recurring charge. Currency conversion adds 0.5% on Free Card and Nomad, or 0.3% on Global. Same currency transactions have no conversion fee. There are no setup, annual, or maintenance fees.
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade from your account settings at any time. The change starts with your next billing cycle. Switching or cancelling carries no penalty.
Many banks and payment services add 2-5% to the real exchange rate without showing it. That difference is FX markup. MoneyPigeon adds zero markup, so you get the rate shown by Google or major financial data providers. A separate conversion fee covers processing.
Once you reach the monthly limit, incoming transfers wait until the next calendar month or until you upgrade. Free Card allows $2,000 monthly. Nomad allows $15,000 per month. Global has no monthly transfer limit. We notify you as you approach the limit.
If you hold the local currency, spending uses that balance with no conversion fee. Otherwise, your primary wallet converts at the real mid market rate, plus 0.5% for Free Card and Nomad or 0.3% for Global. No FX markup is added. You can pre convert in the app before spending.
